Russia has created a system for automatic inspection of UAVs

Employees of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) have developed a hardware and software complex for automated monitoring and performance testing of the drone fleet.
It includes a special communicator, which is installed on the drone to collect and transmit information from all sensors on the equipment to the system. As well as software that analyzes this data and thanks to this predicts the occurrence of breakdowns. The technology will make it possible to move towards maintenance of drones based on their condition, rather than prescription, and will also reduce the number of malfunctions.
"Developers and users often incur financial and reputational losses due to the lack of up-to-date information on the condition of the equipment, peculiarities of its operation and performance of maintenance and repair, as well as the inability to make accurate forecasts on its use and logistics," said Roman Kuzin, lead engineer at the IAAI BAS Center.
The system collects data from all on-board sources, saves the history of equipment use, as well as maintenance and repair work.
