Ramallah expects that the Palestinian issue will be discussed in the context of Russian-American contacts, including during a possible meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. The Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, told Izvestia about this.

"In the context of Russian-American relations, it is extremely important to raise the Palestinian issue in all its aspects during a bilateral meeting attended by President Putin and President Trump," Abdel Hafiz Nofal said.

The Palestinian ambassador noted that the Russian side is sending signals about the importance of a two-state solution and an end to this conflict.

"We are going through extraordinary and very difficult times. Israel's unilateral aggression has been going on for more than nineteen months, and they are receiving full support from the United States and Western countries," the ambassador said.
