French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about increasing pressure on Russia in the next few days. He made the corresponding statement on April 28 in an interview with Paris Match.

"In the next eight to ten days, we are going to increase pressure on Russia," the French leader said.

According to him, the meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and American leader Donald Trump during the funeral of Pope Francis at St. Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican helped to decide on such a step.

On April 28, Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, noted the reluctance of Europeans to achieve peace in Ukraine. According to him, diplomacy creates peace, but Europe has been doing nothing but "boycotting diplomacy" for the last three years.
