The denazification of Ukraine is necessary so that no one can hit a child for speaking Russian, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on April 28.

This is how she commented on the words of Ukrainian actor Bogdan Benyuk, who called for beating children for using the Russian language.

"This is what denazification of Ukraine is for. So that no such dead soul could hit a child on the head with a bottle or even mention the impossibility for children of different nationalities to speak their native language," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

On April 14, Ukrainian media reported that a woman in Zhytomyr threatened a 10-year-old girl to hand over her father to the staff of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) for speaking to him in Russian. It was clarified that the conflict arose in a minibus.
