A portrait of the Izvestia war correspondent Semyon Yeremin, who died in the special military operation zone, is presented at an exhibition of materials from the special project "They Died for the Truth" in Ankara. Footage from the exhibition hall is published by Izvestia on April 28.
The project is dedicated to the journalists who died in the SVR zone, and is aimed at preserving the memory of all the courageous media workers who worked at the front.
The exhibition is organized by Rossotrudnichestvo on the eve of Victory Day.
The death of Semyon Eremin became known on April 19, 2024. He was 42 years old. He died while filming a report as a result of an FPV drone attack. The military commander was injured, from which he later died.
Yeremin has been working in the special operation zone since it began in February 2022. As part of the film crew, he was one of the first to report from Volnovakha in March 2022, when Russian troops took down the Ukrainian flag at the entrance to the city. In addition, the journalist was among the first to make materials about the Lancets and the Sunbeams.
