By declaring a truce during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, Russia is sending an important signal to other states. Rodion Miroshnik, the Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, said this on Monday, April 28.

According to the diplomat, Moscow demonstrates a constructive approach to solving the crisis and at the same time points to Kiev's inability to negotiate.

"We are well aware that our opponent is an interface that depends on external supplies and support. Contractual capacity and the ability to fulfill its obligations are currently a very important factor that Russia demonstrates by such actions. In this way, we show the rest of the countries who needs to put the squeeze on peace enforcement and on whom the continuation of the bloodshed depends," Miroshnik explained in an interview with The Paragraph.

The powers that have not become active parties to the conflict will certainly note Moscow's peace initiatives, the diplomat added. According to Miroshnik, it is precisely such decisions that will form the basis for resolving the conflict.

At the same time, the Russian side does not rule out that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will try to disrupt the truce on May 9 by staging a bloody provocation and accusing the Russian Armed Forces.

"I would not undertake to guarantee that Ukraine would not take provocative actions on its territory, in the border area, on the territories of third countries... After receiving the bloody picture, they will be able to broadcast it to the West. Given that this can happen on their territory, it is almost impossible to verify, which means that Kiev can lie recklessly," the speaker summed up.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a truce in the days of the 80th anniversary of Victory from zero hours from 7 to 8 May to zero hours from 10 to 11 May, IA Regnum reports. In addition, the Kremlin clarified that the Ukrainian side needs to follow the same example, writes RIAMO.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the truce for the 80th anniversary of the Victory is a manifestation of Russia's goodwill, according to the website. kp.ru .
