The State Duma predicted Ukraine's reaction to the new truce

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will not object to the truce announced by Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), but there will be violations. This assumption was made by State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa on Monday, April 28.
He recalled that when it was proposed to declare a 30-day moratorium on strikes on energy facilities, Russia immediately supported it, and Ukraine had more than 100 violations. When Russia declared the Easter truce, there were violations too.
"No one made a statement that we would not support the truce, but it was violated. I think there will be no objections to the truce, but let's see how it will be implemented," the parliamentarian said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
According to Chepa, Zelensky is currently unable to fully control the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Considering that there are forces inside Ukraine, outside Ukraine, who in every possible way want to disrupt the negotiation process, there may be violations, there may be provocations, as there were," he admitted.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a truce in the days of the 80th anniversary of Victory from zero hours from 7 to 8 May to zero hours from 10 to 11 May. 360.ru . In addition, the Kremlin clarified that the Ukrainian side needs to follow the same example, according to the website. kp.ru .
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the truce dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory is a manifestation of Russia's goodwill.
