Mike Sullivan, the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey club, has resigned. This was announced on April 28 on the website of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Pittsburgh Penguins and coach Mike Sullivan agreed to part ways on Monday. A replacement has not been named," the message says.

It is specified that Sullivan was the Pittsburgh coach for 10 years. He became the sixth coach in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup after being hired in the middle of the season.

On April 24, the Washington Capitals scored their second consecutive victory over Montreal in the NHL playoffs. Connor McMichael (two goals) and Dylan Strome scored goals for Washington, while Christian Dvorak scored the only goal for Montreal.
