The CTP registration service may appear on Gosuslugi

The Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Russia are exploring the possibility of launching a CTP policy registration service at Gosuslugi. This was announced by representatives of the Ministry. Earlier, Sardana Avksentieva, deputy head of the New People faction in the State Duma, sent a corresponding proposal to the Ministry of Finance. The launch of the CTP registration service at Gosuslugi is expected in several stages.

"At the first stage, citizens (users of the public services portal) will be given the opportunity to apply for a CTP policy for vehicles registered with the traffic police in the Russian Federation of the following categories: vehicles of categories "B", "BE" of individuals used as taxis; motorcycles, mopeds and light quadricycles (vehicles of categories "A", "M" of individuals)," RIA Novosti quotes the ministry's response.

To implement the service on the Gosuslugi portal, it will be necessary to ensure regulatory regulation in terms of Federal Law No. 40-FZ dated 04/25/2002 "On Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Vehicle Owners," the Ministry of Finance noted.

On April 22, President of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) Evgeny Ufimtsev announced that the Union State insurance system, under which it is possible to purchase CTP policies with an extension to the Republic of Belarus, will begin operating in full from April 23.

Earlier, on April 17, the rules for calculating the cost of CTP for owners of motor vehicles changed. For owners of motorcycles, mopeds, and light ATVs, a new gradation of power coefficients and separate age and seniority coefficients are applied.
