Russia, together with the People's Republic of China (PRC), the BRICS and SCO countries, is at the forefront of the movement for justice and equality. This was stated on April 28 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Rio de Janeiro.

"Together with the People's Republic of China, together with our friends in BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other associations, we are active participants in these changes, and we are at the forefront of the movement for justice and equality," he said.

According to Lavrov, we will have to live in an era of change for a long time. As part of his speech, he also recalled a Chinese proverb that says "God forbid you to live in an era of change." Lavrov recalled that it was invented a long time ago. Now China is one of the leading actors who are engaged in implementing changes in the world. Perhaps they are necessary, he added.

"There is a struggle to preserve unilateral orders, which, in general, have absorbed the colonial and neocolonial methods practiced and practiced by the West to conduct business in the world. And, on the other hand, the emerging just multipolar world order, which should be based, as it is written, by the way, in the UN Charter, on the recognition of the sovereign equality of all states," Lavrov said.

On the same day, Lavrov said that an official visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping was expected in Russia to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to him, the country is already preparing for the event.
