- The Chinese Foreign Minister announced the preservation of trusting relations between Moscow and Beijing

Mutual trust between Russia and China remains unchanged in the face of changes in the world. This was announced on April 28 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Wang Yi at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Rio de Janeiro.
"New changes in the international situation are planned, and, apparently, changes are the norm of our time. But what remains unchanged is mutual trust, mutual support between China and Russia," Wang Yi said, as quoted by TASS.
According to the diplomat, the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin "is always a fundamental guarantee of the high dynamics of Russian-Chinese relations."
Wang Yi noted that there is currently an acute battle between unilateral actions and multilateralism, and the fight against hegemony is taking on a global scale. The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed the importance of cooperation between the countries within the framework of the BRICS and called for the expansion of cooperation between Russia and China in the organization.
On the same day, during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Lavrov said that he expected the official visit of the President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
