The construction of the first stage of a new highway in Murino (Leningrad region) with access to interchanges on the ring Road has been completed by 56%. The regional committee on road management reports this in its Telegram channel.

"In Murino, the construction of the first stage of the highway from the ring Road is underway, bypassing the fast-growing city itself and the New Devyatkino. Subsequently, it will connect with the St. Petersburg-Matoxa regional highway," the message says.

According to Dmitry Donskoy, head of the Directorate of Road Construction, the total length of the new road is 2.2 km, and its technical readiness has reached 56%. The state contract runs until 2026, but the main work is scheduled to be completed in 2025, after which the labor movement will be opened.

According to 78 TV channel, the contractor has already completed the reconstruction of culverts and engineering networks of Lenenergo and LOESK, and launched local sewage treatment plants. In the coming months, a roadbed and road clothing will be installed, and asphalt laying will begin in July.

It is assumed that the new road will relieve the transport arteries of Murino, as well as make transport links between St. Petersburg and Vsevolozhsky district of Leningrad region more convenient.
