An elderly man and a woman were injured in a truck accident in Zadonsk

In the city of Zadonsk, Lipetsk region, an elderly man and a woman were injured in a collision between a car and a truck. This is reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

The accident occurred last Saturday, April 26, on 25 let Oktyabrya Street. A Renault passenger car and a KamAZ truck collided.

The 75-year-old driver of the car and his 72-year-old passenger were injured in the accident. The pensioners were hospitalized with various injuries, according to GOROD48.

In total, from April 25 to April 27, five accidents with victims and 61 mechanical collisions of cars in which no one was injured were recorded on the roads of the region. There were no fatalities in weekend road accidents.

Earlier in the day, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry told Izvestia that over the past weekend, on April 26-27, 504 accidents occurred on the country's roads, in which 54 people were killed and 644 injured. 47 of the dead were passengers and drivers of vehicles.
