The development of industrial partnership with the countries of Central Asia is one of the priorities for Russia. This was announced on April 28 by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, during a plenary session at the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition. "For Russia, the development of industrial partnership with the countries of the region is one of the absolute priorities. We are systematically moving from simple export-import operations to deep technological cooperation," Manturov said.

According to him, a number of bilateral strategic documents and programs are already being implemented, which are aimed at expanding cooperation in all key sectors of the economy with the countries of the region.

Manturov noted that Russian enterprises are widely represented in Central Asia, and Russia's investments in the region's economies in 2024 exceeded 760 billion rubles. The share of Russian companies in the total number of foreign companies in Uzbekistan is about 20%, in Kyrgyzstan — more than 30%, in Kazakhstan — over 40%.

"This allows us to increase the portfolio of joint projects in agricultural machinery, pharmaceuticals, automotive, chemical industry, metallurgy and many other industries," the First Deputy Prime Minister said.

On April 15, Manturov said that Russia was ready to offer Indonesia high-capacity nuclear power plants and small modular reactors, which would allow the two countries to develop joint projects.

In addition, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, Russia sees prospects for cooperation with Indonesia on projects for the construction of generation facilities using renewable energy sources.
