- The head of the Ministry of Labor pointed out the need for targeted support for students

In Russia, targeted support is needed for students during and after university studies so that they can work in their profession. Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, told about this on April 28, answering a question from Izvestia about the problem of personnel in the fields of education and healthcare.
"Today, the percentage of employment in the specialty is quite low, and we have something to work on," he explained.
According to the head of the Ministry of Labor, a forecast of personnel needs has been formed in Russia until 2030. Starting in 2025, Kotyakov added, the agency will switch to seven-year forecasting. In addition, experts have created a methodology for translating personnel forecast indicators into admission control figures.
"All this allows us to clearly predict the planned values of university applicants for the needs that the market is shaping. At the same time, today we see that there are a number of problems in the industries in terms of dropping out students at the stages of their education — here we need comprehensive support from both educational institutions and subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as industry departments of the students, so that they complete their studies, and analyze the reasons that are the reason for them to complete the learning process.", — the minister noted.
He stressed that this format is the format of relations between the state and the citizen.
"Both sides must fulfill their obligations," Kotyakov concluded.
