Medvedev pointed to attempts to rethink the key principles of the UN Charter.

At the moment, there are unacceptable attempts in the world to rethink the key principles of the Charter of the United Nations (UN). This was stated on April 28 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, in a video message to the participants of the international symposium "On the importance of victory over Nazism. Lessons from the creation of the United Nations."
"Today we are witnessing unacceptable attempts to rethink the key principles of the UN Charter, to destroy the system that laid the foundations of the post—war world order and became a unique platform for direct and constructive international cooperation," he said during an address posted on the website of the United Russia party.
Also, according to the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, there are attempts to justify Nazi criminals and bloody accomplices. In many countries, including those liberated from fascism, Nazism is once again "rearing its head" and finding support at the state level. Medvedev stressed that these trends cannot be ignored.
On March 5, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the UN Charter a criterion of equality and justice in the world. At the same time, he clarified that few Western countries comply with the provisions of the document.
