The Norwegian professor noted the reluctance of Europeans to achieve peace in Ukraine

If the leaders of European countries were seeking a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, they would have called Moscow for this. This was announced on April 28 by Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of Southeastern Norway.
This is how the professor commented on the video attached to the publication with the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron in the Vatican, who stated that Ukraine is ready for an unconditional cease-fire.
"If they want to stop fighting, why don't they pick up the phone and call Moscow," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to him, diplomacy creates peace, but Europe has been doing nothing but "boycotting diplomacy" for the last three years.
US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met on April 25 before the funeral of Pope Francis at the Vatican. Zelensky called the meeting with Trump good and thanked him, expressing hope for "achieving common results."
The Sun newspaper reported on April 27 that Trump had asked Macron not to participate in the meeting with Zelensky. According to the expert, Trump said to Macron:: "You're wrong here, I need you to do me a favor, you shouldn't be here."
