Mirra Andreeva reached the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Madrid

On April 28, Russian Mirra Andreeva defeated Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtseva in the fourth round of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Madrid and reached the quarterfinals of the competition.

The match lasted 1 hour and 34 minutes and ended with a score of 6:1, 6:4 in favor of Andreeva. In the quarterfinals, Andreeva will play against the winner of the match between American Coco Gauff and Swiss Belinda Bencic.

Andreeva is 17 years old and ranks seventh in the WTA singles rankings. The tennis player has won three tournaments under the auspices of the organization.

Earlier, on April 27, Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova beat Daria Kasatkina, who represented Australia at the game, in the third round of the WTA tournament in Madrid. In the fourth round of the competition, the Russian will play with Japanese Moyuka Uchijima.
