On April 28, Russian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Igor Morgulov met with Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, who was evacuated during a solo sea expedition from South America to Australia. This was reported by the embassy's press service.

They noted that on this day Konyukhov visited the diplomatic mission and spoke at the Russian Cultural Center in front of the students of the embassy's school.

"The Russian, whose achievements include four circumnavigations of the world and climbing the highest mountain peaks of each continent, spoke about his recent expedition, which lasted 115 days," the diplomatic mission's Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the visa issue of Konyukhov's stay in China was resolved and the necessary assistance was provided to him in a short time with the assistance of the staff of the Embassy and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Shenyang. On Tuesday, April 29, the traveler plans to return to Russia.

Konyukhov became the first in history to cross the South Atlantic on a rowing boat. On March 15, it was reported that the traveler spent 100 days in the Southern Ocean, having covered about half of the route from South America to Australia on the rowing boat Akros.

The voyage was designed for about 200 days, but on the 114th day Konyukhov completed the crossing of two oceans due to numerous failures of the ship's control and life support systems. The next day, in the middle of the Indian Ocean, he boarded a cargo ship bound for China. On April 24, Konyukhov arrived at the Dalian visa application Center, where he was met by representatives of the Russian diaspora.
