Mishustin pointed to a threefold increase in the production of its own UAVs in Russia.

Russia has tripled the production of its own unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and will continue to increase production volumes. This was announced on April 28 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
He stressed that unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) have been allocated to a separate national project. According to him, drones are the future of various sectors of the economy, as they help control and implement processes and can be used, including in agriculture. At the same time, the Prime Minister called UAVs indispensable in logistics, especially in hard-to-reach regions.
"The volume of domestic production of unmanned aircraft systems is consistently growing. Over the past year, it has practically tripled," Mishustin said during a speech at the federal educational marathon "Knowledge. The first ones."
According to him, more than 600 companies are involved in the manufacture of drones. He stressed that, in cooperation with organizations, the Russian Federation will continue to develop such technologies and create the necessary infrastructure for this in all regions of the country, as well as a single digital airspace.
The Prime Minister recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin had already spoken about the need to open the skies to civilian UAVs, taking into account the current risks and limitations.
On April 23, Putin announced that in 2024, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received more than 1.5 million drones of various types. He specified that last year the output of weapons of destruction, communication systems, reconnaissance and electronic warfare (EW) also doubled. In addition, the head of state instructed to accelerate work on the creation of advanced weapons, including unmanned systems.
