Russia and Saudi Arabia should continue to work on resuming direct flights. This was announced on April 28 by Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov during a meeting with his Saudi counterpart Saud bin Abdullah Al Muajib.

"Today, the journey from Moscow to Riyadh takes an unjustifiably long time, which, in turn, does not fully contribute to the development of tourism and attracting mutual investments. I believe that we could influence the resolution of this problem within our competence," Krasnov said.

The Prosecutor General of Saudi Arabia, in turn, assured that work in this direction "is actively underway and is in the final stages." According to him, the issue will be resolved in the near future.

In addition, during the meeting, Krasnov reminded his colleague of the invitation to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this year. As part of the event, the Prosecutor General's Office will hold a session to discuss the protection of Russian businesses and foreign investors.

Earlier, on April 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia had proposed to the United States to exclude Aeroflot from the sanctions list in order to resume flights between the two countries. In addition, he noted that the parties will work on this issue, since this process is a "return to normality."
