The action-packed detective series "SMERSH 3" will air on May 8.

In the center of the plot of the new, third part of the popular SMERSH franchise are two captains of the Soviet counterintelligence SMERSH ("Death to spies!") Konstantin Lavrov (Igor Petrenko) and Pavel Semenov (Vladislav Kotlyarsky). The series also starred Yuri Anpilogov, Leonid Gromov, Anastasia Mikulchina, Sergey Ivanyuk, Sergey Komarov, Polina Dolindo, Maxim Dromashko, Elizaveta Nilova and others.

The war is nearing its end, but the German command is still hatching plans that will allow Hitler's troops to achieve a turning point and defeat the Soviet Army. Risking their lives, Lavrov and Semenov perform the most difficult and dangerous tasks of the command to counter the plans of the Germans both behind the front line and in the Soviet rear.
