- A Council for the development of the brewing industry has been established in Russia

An expert advisory council for the development of the brewing industry has been established in Russia on the initiative of Baltika. This was announced on April 28 by the press service of the beer producer.
"At the initiative of the Baltika brewing company, an expert advisory council has been established, the main task of which is to bring together representatives of the beer and alcohol industry and experts in various fields in order to create favorable conditions for the development of the industry in the Russian Federation," the company said in a statement.
It is specified that Taimuraz Bolloev, President of Baltika, has become chairman of the expert advisory council for the development of the brewing industry. In addition to him, Nikolai Tyurnikov, CEO of AB Inbev Efes, and Dmitry Kiselyov, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia, also joined the board.
"Currently, there is no balanced government policy in the brewing industry, and there is not a single strategic planning document defining the development of the industry, including its raw material base, for the medium and long term," Bolloev said.
In the near future, the council intends to develop a common approach to addressing emerging challenges, as well as form proposals to change the current regulation of the beer and alcohol industry.
Earlier, on March 27, the press service of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT) informed Izvestia that an increase in beer production was recorded in Russia. So, in February, brewers produced 48 million liters of the drink more than in January: 661 million to 612 million liters, respectively.
