The Khamovniki Court in Moscow sentenced Maxim Parshin, former deputy head of the Ministry of Finance, and Alexander Monosov, ex-CEO of Budget and Financial Technologies LLC, to nine and 8.6 years in a strict regime penal colony for accepting bribes. This was reported on 28 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

It is clarified that Parshin was sentenced under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a particularly large bribe"), and Monosov was sentenced under Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Giving a bribe to an official on a particularly large scale").

According to investigators, in 2023, the defendant received a bribe of 3.75 million rubles for allocating a grant to the company of the ex-CEO of Budget and Financial Technologies LLC, which specialized in the development of IT solutions.

Monosov himself claimed that he had mixed up the folders: in one he kept money to buy his wife a Cartier bracelet, and in the other he kept only documents that he was going to hand over to an official.
