The DPR Prosecutor's office has sent a case against the Azov militant to court

The Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has sent a criminal case to the court regarding the calculation number of the Azov battalion mortar battery (the organization is recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation), 24-year-old Dmitry Kucheryavy. This was announced on April 28 by the press service of the department.

According to investigators, in March 2022, together with his colleagues, a man carried out a mortar attack on the village of Berdyansk in the Mangush municipal district of the republic. A married couple was able to escape from the fragments of mines, while three residential buildings were damaged.

"The criminal case has been sent to the Supreme Court of the DPR for consideration on its merits," the publication on the website says.

Curly is accused of attempted murder of two or more people, intentional damage to other people's property and ill-treatment of civilians in the occupied territory.

On February 24, the Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced Maxim Melnikov, a Ukrainian serviceman from Azov, to 24 years in a high-security penal colony for the murder of a civilian in Mariupol. According to the investigation, in March 2022, the accused shot a citizen who was in the pharmacy building with a hand-held machine gun.
