Ukraine reacted to the negotiations between Russia and the United States with a sharp increase in attacks on civilian infrastructure. This was stated on April 28 by the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik.

"During the specified period, at least 22,221 munitions were fired at civilian infrastructure facilities. In total, since February 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have fired at least 251,865 rounds of ammunition of various calibers and modifications at Russian civilian targets," he said in his report.

Miroshnik clarified that the increase in the number of attacks from Kiev is due to the policy of President Vladimir Zelensky and his supervisors, as well as the beginning of the negotiation process between Moscow and Washington. According to the ambassador, the number of strikes during this period reached 300 per day or more than 2,000 per week, which is about a quarter more than the weekly figures in January and February.

"Over the past three months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have only increased the frequency of using UAVs to kill and attempt on the lives of civilians, including underage children. During this period, 409 civilians suffered from attacks by Ukrainian drones. 23 people were killed, including three children," the ambassador said.

As for Kiev's crimes against Orthodox churches and parishioners, Myroshnik noted the need for an international investigation into them. He described the actions of the Ukrainian army as a mockery of people and their religious feelings.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed 115 Ukrainian drones over the past night.
