A woman was injured in Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region, as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on April 28 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.

"A woman born in 1952 was injured in a private house on Mira Street. She was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds in the Kakhovskaya CRH," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The governor also noted that as a result of the Ukrainian shelling, windows in the kindergarten were blown out. In the village of Rayskoye, an uninhabited house caught fire after being dropped from a drone. In addition, as a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in an unused school, but no injuries were recorded in this case.

Saldo added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also shelled settlements such as Alyoshki, Kakhovka, Golaya Pier, Dneprany, Cossack Camps, Novaya Mayachka and Malaya Lepetikha.

The allocation of assistance to affected citizens should also be under the control of prosecutors, the president said.

On April 22, Baldo reported that 12 children were killed and 48 others injured as a result of the ongoing shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson region. He stressed that a child's right to life must be protected in any situation.
