He stated that to receive an order, it is allegedly required to dictate a code from an SMS message. Then the victim was contacted by a stranger who allegedly represented Roskomnadzor. He announced the blocking of Sakhalinka's account on the Gosuslugi portal and the issuance of a power of attorney for her to manage property and bank accounts, SakhalinMedia news agency writes.
The conman convinced the victim that she should apply for a loan and transfer funds to an outside account.
Over the weekend, Sakhalin residents lost about 4 million rubles due to fraudsters.
In Primorsky Krai, a pensioner lost more than 1.5 million rubles due to fraudsters. The victim expected to receive income from investments.
