The water level in the Ishim River near the village of Ilyinka in the Kazan region of the Tyumen region reached 803 cm and crossed the "dangerous phenomenon" mark. This was announced on April 28 by the head of the municipality, Tatiana Bogdanova.
"The water level is expected to peak in the next few days," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
It is reported that all embankments and dams in the area are in good condition, and the level from the water to the crest of the water barriers is monitored daily. Bogdanova added that the municipality is currently working to maintain transport links on the roads.
On April 18, the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moore, announced that the peak of flooding in the region would occur during the May holidays. He noted that this year the water is coming very slowly, there will be no record levels, but the high values will last for a long time.
