On April 27, US President Donald Trump announced that the leader of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, had asked for additional arms supplies during a meeting in Rome.

"He told me that he needed more weapons. But he's been saying this for 3 years now," the American leader said during a conversation with reporters.

In addition, Trump said that the meeting at the Vatican went well. He added that he noticed the changes that had occurred with Zelensky, as he "became calmer."

"They were never bad. We had a little argument because I didn't agree with what he was saying," the American leader commented on relations between the United States and Ukraine.

The German newspaper Bild reported on April 24 that Ukraine is preparing for a scenario according to which the United States will stop providing support to Kiev. A Ukrainian official told the newspaper that the Kiev side was disappointed with Trump's peace plan and the lack of pressure from the Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
