- FSB officers detained a resident of Primorsky Krai for collecting data for the State Security Service of Ukraine

Employees of the FSB directorate in Primorsky Krai detained a local resident who, on behalf of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate, was collecting data on military infrastructure facilities. This was announced on April 28 by the press service of the regional directorate of the FSB.
During the operational search activities carried out, it was established that the man, on his own initiative, began communicating with a representative of the Ukrainian military intelligence, after which he collected information about military infrastructure facilities in Primorye.
The ministry clarified that the detainee was fully aware of how the information he received about Russian military facilities could be used against Russia's security. A criminal case was initiated under Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization").
The detainee is currently in custody. Operational search measures and investigative actions are continuing, the department stressed.
On April 25, employees of the FSB of the Russian Federation detained a Romanian citizen who, on the instructions of the special services of Ukraine, collected data on the locations of air defense systems in the city of Sochi. It was noted that a criminal case had been opened against the man under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").
