HC Salavat Yulaev beat Lokomotiv in the first match of the Gagarin Cup semi-final

Ufa Hockey club (HC) Salavat Yulaev defeated Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on April 27 in the first match of the semi-finals of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs.

The match was held at the Yaroslavl team's home Arena 2000 and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the guests. Forwards Danil Alalykin (in the 2nd minute) and Alexander Khmelevsky (60th), as well as defender Mikhail Naumenkov (54th) scored among the winners. Defender Rushan Rafikov scored for Lokomotiv (25th).

The Salavat goalkeeper also managed to make two assists and deflect 26 of 27 shots. For the forward of Ufa HC, this meeting was the 100th in the KHL playoffs. For all the games in the Gagarin Cup, he managed to score 14 goals and make seven assists.

The next game between the teams will take place on April 29 in Yaroslavl.
