Sakhalin military personnel have improved memorials and monuments in the DPR

Military personnel of the Guards formation of the 68th Army Corps of the Vostok group of forces have improved monuments and memorials in the liberated areas of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on April 28 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry noted that this is not the first time that military personnel have been doing this. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, they put at least 10 monuments in the DPR in order.
"On the eve of the great holiday on May 9th, we were honored to participate in the restoration of this memorial monument to the fallen Soviet soldiers. Here we take part in painting, putty. We want to replace the tree, unfortunately, it has withered," said a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Fizruk.
He specified that the military would plant new trees next to the memorial, restore the tiles around the monument, and paint the posts and chains. He added that in this way, representatives of the Vostok group of forces pay tribute to the soldiers who fell during the battles of the Great Patriotic War.
On February 17, it became known that in the DPR, on the anniversary of the liberation of Avdiivka from Ukrainian militants, a memorial was erected at the entrance to the city in memory of Russian army soldiers. It was noted that the memorial plaques list all the units that took part in the storming and liberation of the city.
