Russia is ready to discuss US leader Donald Trump's plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik told Izvestia.

"Russia is ready to discuss Trump's plan. It is not a detailed plan as such, but there are approaches on the part of the US, while it is necessary to continue working on them. We welcome that the US is set on a peaceful settlement. There are positions that need to be discussed, but they should be discussed in closed mode," Rodion Miroshnik said.

Earlier, details of Trump's plan appeared in the press. Among them "de jure" recognition of Crimea as Russian, "de facto" recognition of LNR, DNR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as part of the Russian Federation, a promise that Kiev will not become part of NATO, lifting sanctions on Russia since 2014, as well as economic cooperation with the United States.
