Lavrov pointed to the interest of the United States in doing business with Russia.

The United States is interested in doing business with Russia. This was announced on April 27 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"The United States has made it clear to us that they are interested in doing business together. We never reject business proposals if they are based on equal opportunities and respect for each other and lead to a balance of interests," he said in an interview with CBS News.
According to him, if Washington wants to occupy a vacant niche and propose a new project, Moscow will consider proposals. Lavrov stressed that if the parties find a balance of interests, it will be quite natural to engage in joint business. The minister recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has already stated that the Russian side has nothing against American companies.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that when companies return from the United States, they may find that their place has already been occupied by domestic or other foreign investors. He stressed that Moscow would not take actions that would discriminate against current investors.
In addition, Lavrov clarified that there had been no proposals from the United States to lift anti-Russian sanctions.
