The United States explained the absence of new sanctions against Russia


The United States is not expanding sanctions against Russia in order not to interfere with the peace process on the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on April 27 by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with NBC.
"In the coming week, the United States will assess the progress of the parties on the settlement in Ukraine and decide whether they want to continue to participate in the peace process," Rubio said.
According to the politician, at the moment the United States has both grounds and concerns about the efforts of the parties to the conflict in Ukraine to resolve it.
Earlier, on April 24, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia appreciates the mediation services provided by US President Donald Trump and his administration in the negotiation process on the Ukrainian conflict.
