After the report on the liberation of the Kursk region, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov had a one-on-one conversation. This was confirmed on April 27 by footage posted on the Telegram channel of journalist Pavel Zarubin.
"Valery Vasilyevich, we will talk more now," the head of state told Gerasimov at the end of the public part of the meeting.
The details of their private conversation are unknown.
Gerasimov reported to Putin on the liberation of the last Kursk village of Gornal from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on April 26. According to him, the total losses of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk area amounted to more than 76 thousand people. The Head of State congratulated and thanked the personnel of the military units of the Russian Armed Forces who took part in the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.
