Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian arrived at the Shahid Rajai seaport in Bandar Abbas, where a powerful explosion occurred on April 26. This was announced on April 27 by the IRNA news agency in its Telegram channel.

"Officials of the 14th government are working to resolve issues related to the Shahid Rajai Port," Peseshkian said.

The Iranian leader expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the explosion, and also thanked the firefighters, rescuers, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, special units of the Armed Forces) and the army forces who arrived at the scene of the incident and worked to resolve the problem.

At the moment, 28 dead and 1,139 injured have been reported from the explosion at the port of Shahid Rajai.
