The Russian Embassy in India has recommended that Russians refrain from traveling to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh due to the growing tension in Indian-Pakistani relations. This was announced on April 27 on the social networks of the diplomatic mission.

"Due to the growing tension in Indian-Pakistani relations, we strongly recommend that you refrain from visiting the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, unless absolutely necessary," the embassy's Telegram channel says.

Earlier, on April 26, it became known about a new exchange of fire between India and Pakistan on the border line in the Kashmir Valley. The Pakistani military is on high alert after the Indian authorities announced the persecution of the terrorists who staged the shooting in Pahalgam.

In connection with the terrorist attack, on April 25, the Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the decision to suspend the 1960 Indus River Treaty and cut off the supply of water from its stream to Pakistan. At the same time, the Indian authorities announced the suspension of the issuance of visas for Pakistani citizens.
