Murashko announced an increase in the survival rate of cancer patients in Russia

The survival rate of cancer patients in Russia has increased by 9% over the past five years. This was announced on April 27 by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators.
"The survival rate of patients over a five—year period of time has been increased by 9%," Murashko said.
Murashko stressed that such a result is a "tremendous success" in the fight against a serious illness.
According to the minister, the implementation of the national project to combat cancer has made it possible to radically upgrade the infrastructure, provide it with modern equipment and significantly improve the technological efficiency and efficiency of medical institutions.
"The successes that have occurred in diagnosis and treatment have pushed our scientific community to create new treatments and medicines, and today we see such a large increase in scientific research in this area," Murashko added
Earlier, on April 17, it was reported that Russia had created an oncology drug that has no analogues in the whole world. We are talking about the drug "Afotid", already used for the treatment of cancer. At the same time, it was noted that the drug promotes the treatment of oncologies at any stage.
