The accident occurred at about 20:00 on April 26 (06:00 Moscow time on April 27) during the celebration of the Philippine Lapu-Lapu Day in the area of Fraser Street and East 41st Avenue. According to witnesses, a black Audi SUV crashed into the crowd. The driver of the car was detained.
At least nine people were killed in the incident. The Canadian Global News channel, citing sources, reported that a child was among the victims of the accident, and six people were injured.
