Orban called on the EU to end the "war psychosis" and embark on the path of peace

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called for an end to the "military psychosis" that has gripped Europe, pointing out that Kiev will not be able to continue the conflict without the help of the United States. The politician announced this on April 27 on social networks.
"The war psychosis that has engulfed Europe must stop. Without America, Ukraine has no chance, but Brussels is clinging to a hopeless military strategy. The only way forward is the path of peace!" Orban wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
On April 25, Orban accused the European Union (EU) countries of unwillingness to end the conflict in Ukraine, despite the peaceful settlement initiatives of the United States. The politician also raised the issue of Ukraine's possible membership in the EU. In his opinion, the Ukrainian territory is so large that all funds from the EU budget, which are used to support less developed countries, will go to it.
Later, on April 27, US President Donald Trump criticized an article by The New York Times with a proposal to return the lost territories to Ukraine. Trump wrote that no matter what deal is concluded between Russia and Ukraine, "even if it is the biggest deal ever concluded," the publication will speak ill of it. He also called the newspaper mediocre.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on March 2 that Washington was talking directly about the desire to end the conflict in Ukraine, but Europe was demanding "the continuation of the banquet."
