The Ministry of Health may allow the release of medicines in remote villages through the Russian Post

The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation may allow medicines to be dispensed through the Russian Post in places where there are no pharmaceutical points. This was announced on April 26 by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

"We are currently considering, among other things, a proposal to allow the release of some medicines through the Russian Post in places where there is no medical organization or pharmacy," he said during a meeting of the presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation.

According to Murashko, the Ministry of Health has provided 40 thousand medical and obstetric centers with the opportunity to release medical products, medicines and medical devices.

Earlier, on March 26, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that two thirds of medicines sold in Russia are domestic. In addition, Mishustin drew attention to the positive dynamics in the medical device market. In 2023, production amounted to 612 billion rubles, and in 2024 it increased by 21.5%, reaching about 800 billion rubles.
