The Iranian Defense Ministry announced the absence of military goods in the port of Shahid Rajai.

There were no military goods at the Shahid Rajai seaport in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, where the explosion occurred. This was officially announced by the Iranian Ministry of Defense on April 27.

The blast wave was so strong that it severely damaged most of the buildings in the port, as well as cars. 28 people became victims of the incident, 1139 more were injured. The New York Times newspaper later named the cause of the explosion in the Iranian port as a substance for rocket fuel. There is no exact information about the causes of the explosion in Shahid Rajai yet.

On the morning of April 27, the Governor of Hormozgan, Mohammad Ashuri, declared three days of general mourning in connection with the tragedy.
