A resident of the village of Plekhovo in the Kursk region testified to investigators about the death of her son at the hands of Ukrainian militants during the occupation of the settlement. This was announced on April 27 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

"A resident of the village of Plekhovo, Sudzha district, said that on September 13, 2024, her son, who wanted to pick up groceries from his house, was shot by Ukrainian militants," she said.

The body of the murdered man was later found with gunshot wounds and his hands tied.

In addition, the woman reported to the Investigative Committee about multiple cases of robbery by the Ukrainian military.

"We were afraid, we hid to survive. They <...> robbed us, opened houses, garages. <...> They took everything from all the houses," the woman says on the recording of the conversation with the investigator.

According to Petrenko, the investigation qualified the actions of the militants as a terrorist act and looting. She stressed that all those involved would be identified and brought to justice.

A day earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the murder of a resident of the Kursk village of Bondarevka by the Ukrainian military. The man was shot while riding his bike to the store to buy bread.
