Wilfand predicted a cold snap throughout Russia in early May

Cold weather is forecast in early May throughout the Russian Federation. This was announced on April 27 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"On the May holidays in the European territory of Russia, the weather will be cool, I would even say cold. [Such weather is forecast in] the Northwestern Federal District, the Central Federal District, Moscow and neighboring regions of the Russian Federation, starting from the west - from the Tver region, and to the east — the Vladimir, Yaroslavl, Tula, Kaluga regions," the meteorologist told TASS.

According to him, the night temperature in these regions is expected to be in the range of 0 ... +5 degrees, during the day — about +10 degrees. Temperatures below normal are also forecast in the south of the European part of Russia. There, its values will be about +15...+17 degrees.

It will also be cool in the Volga Federal District — +10...+15 degrees in the daytime. The forecaster added that in the Far East the temperature will be 3-5 degrees below normal, and in Siberia it will drop immediately by 8-10 degrees, noted in "Газете.ги ".

On April 26, Vilfand announced that temperatures would be below normal throughout the European part of the Russian Federation in the first days of May. In the Krasnodar Territory, in the Crimea, and in Stavropol, night temperatures will be around +5...+7 degrees. The forecaster added that such temperature values in the south of Russia are two to three degrees below normal for this period.
