The Kiev regime's plan to locate the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) In the Kursk region, a natural fiasco occurred after the complete liberation of the region by Russian military personnel. Alexey Martynov, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, and a political scientist, told Izvestia on April 26.

He clarified that Russian military personnel were able to liberate the occupied territories of the region despite the fact that the "most combat-ready" Ukrainian militants were there. The expert stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to pay for the suffering of civilians in the Kursk region.

"They will have to pay for this to all those who have not yet paid. There will certainly be a reckoning for those who made these decisions in Kiev," Martynov said.

The political scientist noted that the whole situation in the Kursk region is another confirmation that a demilitarized zone should be created along the entire Russian border with Ukraine. He added that its depth should be 200-300 km to prevent a repeat of Ukrainian provocations.
