Four earthquakes were registered in Crimea


Four earthquakes were registered on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. This was announced on April 26 by Marina Bondar, Deputy Director of the Institute of Seismology and Geodynamics of the Vernadsky Crimean Federal University.
"One of them is in the Black Sea at a distance of 90 km from Yalta and three earthquakes on land near the Uchan—Su waterfall," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The seismologist stressed that the strongest tremors, according to operational data, belong to the energy class of 8.4 and magnitude 2.3. According to Bondar, residents of the area near the Uchan-Su waterfall felt the earthquake, as the depth of the source was small.
On April 21, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred in the Akhtyn district of Dagestan. The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic reported that the depth was 10 km.
