A paraglider crashed in the Chegem gorge of Kabardino-Balkaria


A resident of Perm crashed in the Chegem gorge of the Caucasus Range in Kabardino-Balkaria during a paragliding flight. This was announced on April 26 in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
It is specified that he made a hard landing in the upper reaches of the gorge.
"Unfortunately, the paraglider, who was in an unregistered group, suffered life—threatening injuries," the Telegram channel says.
A rescue group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly went to the scene, and currently employees of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation are also working there. In addition, nine specialists from the Elbrus High-altitude Fire and Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in search and rescue operations.
In November last year, two men were injured while skydiving in the Moscow region. It was clarified that they were promptly taken to the hospital with chest bruises and fractures.
