The Ministry of Foreign Affairs promised consequences to those involved in crimes in the Kursk region

Following the Kursk region, all other Russian territories will be liberated from Ukrainian militants. This was announced on April 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Following the Kursk region, all territories of the subjects of the Russian Federation that are still under the control of the Kiev regime, including the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic. — Ed.), the LPR (Lugansk People's Republic. — Ed.), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions," she is quoted as saying on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to her, Russian law enforcement officials are thoroughly investigating all crimes committed by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region and foreign mercenaries fighting on their side. Zakharova stressed that those involved would be identified, prosecuted and punished to the fullest extent in accordance with the law.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the complete liberation of the Kursk region from the enemy was made possible thanks to the fortitude and heroism of those who "did not spare themselves, day in and day out, did everything to defeat the enemy."

"The valor of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation who participated in the fighting in this area is admirable. Their unparalleled valor, bravery and willingness to sacrifice made it possible to successfully complete the assigned combat missions," Zakharova stressed.

On April 26, the head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the liberation of the last settlement captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region. He also stressed that the enemy was forced to constantly transfer units from other areas to the Kursk area. The total losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction amounted to more than 76 thousand people.

Putin, in turn, congratulated and thanked the personnel of the military units of the Russian army who participated in the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, noting that the enemy's losses in the Kursk direction will affect the entire line of contact.
